One project, for example, could support an orientation of a learning management system for faculty, and then one for students, if two separate timelines were allowed. It would be a significant improvement to allow multiple timelines to be saved, and for audio-scrubbing to be included in the editing toolset. Some instructors use it to present concepts that require a visual component. A convenient library of visual graphics, icons, backgrounds and music beds enables the producer to add attention-getting "pizzazz" to presentations, a library that can be augmented with original user-created content. The software also includes pixelation or blurring techniques for obscuring details that would otherwise identify people, potentially in violation of student confidentiality laws or Institutional Review Board restrictions. Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS)įor creating learning experiences that require visuals from desktops, Camtasia is intuitive and produces content that works seamlessly in many video carrying platforms.Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM).Proxy your HD videos to improve editing performance, such as lag or skipping during playback. Solution Option 1: create a proxy video (Camtasia 2021 and later). We'll have to wait to see if they try to correct it so it runs with a less stringent hardware requirement. Problem While editing in Camtasia, the Timeline and / or Canvas preview appear choppy, lag, or out of sync. Fixed a crash when editing captions Miscellaneous bug fixes and improvements 30 November, 2021: Camtasia (Mac) 2021.0.7. I just think they made a bad business decision with this release. 7 December, 2021: Camtasia (Mac) 2021.0.8. I am a Camtasia user from the old 3.62 version (when later versions were called 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 2019, etc). As I said, no one should need to spend $3,000 on hardware to run a $300 app, especially when 2020 ran well on an i3. My personal view is that TS over-built Camtasia considering their market and the price of the software. Saying, "We published the hardware requirements" is not enough when such systems remain sluggish. In my view, TS needs to start thinking about a fix. As I read the situation, more people are conserved and soon there will be more discussion here, YT videos, and all the rest. He himself said, I am not an insider just a user like others that post on this forum." But I do think one person should not be the self-appointed "expert. kayakman has no authority to tell us to move anywhere. I've been monitoring the situation.Īctually, I did not mean to be unkind to kayakman and apologize if I was. And has several have reported, their computers are well beyond the system requirements for Cam 2021.Ībimael Cereda Junior, yes I'm here. That is what makes this truly unusable in any practical way. I would not expect it to cause 10-15 second delays when clicking a menu or opening a properties panel. That being said, it seems to me that having an underpowered computer would mostly manifest during timeline scrubbing, previewing animations, or even publishing final video. Is there some particular item common to the timelines in all these reports of sluggish performance? Perhaps someone has crafted such a progression. It will take a gradual build up of elements, in size and complexity to see what triggers this slow down. I will say that if I just start a simple project and add only a few items to the timeline, including a short (less than 2 minutes) video clip, that I am NOT seeing the sluggish behavior. It will likely take a support ticket with someone knowledgeable on the inner workings of both Camtasia and Windows 10 (is this also an issue for Mac?). I would also like to offer something more constructive than a simple "it is slow" comment.
